Edward Purcell to speak at Somerset County Business Partnership Webinar on Waterway Rule Change.

On November 10, 2020 Edward Purcell will present a webinar for the Somerset County Business Partnership regarding an important rule change related to New Jersey waterways. Last year the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“NJDEP”) re-classified a number of rivers and tributaries across the state as “C1”, i.e. highly protected. This re-classification effectively prohibits development along these waterways, a number of which are located in Somerset County. Mr. Purcell will discuss the NJDEP’s rule change and provide an overview of what Somerset County waterways are affected. Mr. Purcell will also discuss what this change means to Somerset County residents and businesses from an environmental and economic perspective.
