Overview
Ms. Krone concentrates her practice in representing and advocating on behalf of individuals with special needs and their families. Ms. Krone has represented clients in special education, Early Intervention, Section 504, school disciplinary, harassment, intimidation and bullying, and higher education matters. She also provides assistance with estate planning and special needs planning, including preparation of Special Needs Trusts and guardianship applications.
Ms. Krone began her career in special education as a special education elementary teacher in the New Jersey public school system. As a teacher for 6 years, Ms. Krone devoted her time to advocating for her students’ needs. Her time within the public schools has proven to be an invaluable asset to her clients today.
To further her passion for advocating on behalf of children’s needs, Ms. Krone attended law school to pursue a career as a special education attorney. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Education from Rutgers University, as well as an Ed.M. in Special Education and Elementary Education from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. In addition, Ms. Krone holds a K-12 Teacher of Students with Disabilities and K-5 Elementary Education, Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing.
Ms. Krone earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School where she worked in the Education and Health Law Clinic providing free legal representation to indigent clients in special education and early education.
Ms. Krone is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association, Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates and New Jersey Special Education Practitioners. She is a volunteer attorney on education matters for Volunteer Lawyers for Justice. Ms. Krone has also volunteered for CASA of Bergen County as a court-appointed special advocate for children in the foster system. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
