Overview
Richard M. Fricke is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. He has a solid, broad-based experience in a wide range of domestic and foreign industries, as well as serves the needs of individual clients. He has a proven track record for creating novel and practical strategies that result in favorable decisions for his clients. Mr. Fricke prides himself in being highly skilled at balancing the business and legal issues to minimize cost and exposure to the firm’s clients.
Mr. Fricke is equally effective in and out of court. Over the years, he has earned a reputation for successfully handling litigation in the federal and state courts of New Jersey and New York. He has extensive experience in appellate matters having argued cases in the Appellate Divisions of both states as well as before the New Jersey Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits. He prepares Wills, Trusts and related estate planning documents, and is experienced in the administration of estates and trusts. He also represents clients with regard to guardianship and elder law issues. He provides a broad range of services to the firm’s commercial clients, including business planning, business formation and dissolution, employment and contract issue, and real estate matters.
Mr. Fricke is frequently tapped by The New Jersey Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection in instances of attorney defalcation. He was a 1999 recipient of its state award.
Mr. Fricke is very active with Georgetown University, where he has served for the past thirty years as a chair of the Northern New Jersey Committee of Admissions to the undergraduate colleges; he also is on the Dean’s Board of Advisors.
Since January of 2006, Mr. Fricke has served as President of the Northern Valley Alumni Association, an organization he created in collaboration with former superintendent Dr. Eugene Westlake. The Association awards academic merit scholarships to graduating seniors at Demarest and Old Tappan, and presents a distinguished alumni award at each school’s graduation.
